The first time this happened was when one of our industrial clients relocated to the Village of Cuyahoga Heights, an inner-ring suburb of Cleveland. The Village asked us to consult on future economic and community development projects.
With the dramatic renovation of one of the handful of buildings along Superior Avenue now in its portfolio, GBX Group is poised to be a major player in the redevelopment of the Superior Arts District. In March, GBX acquired Silverlode Consulting, which moved a few blocks west on Superior into GBX's headquarters. GBX CEO Drew Sparacia said Silverlode, led by Dennis McAndrew, will allow GBX to expand its financing options.
The Texas Medical Center announced plans for a new medical research campus called TMC³. The project is a collaboration between the TMC, Baylor College of Medicine, Texas A&M University Health Science Center, University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston and University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center. Silverlode estimated the annual impact of the project to be $5.2B.
